Most people treat the six upper front teeth. At the Dublin median of €250 per tooth that is about €1,500. At the cheapest published price in the county it is €780; at the dearest, €2,700. Nationally the same six teeth work out between €750 and €4,800, which is why a single quote tells you almost nothing on its own.
Ranked against the other 19 counties where clinics publish prices, Dublin sits #11 of 20 from cheapest to dearest. The cheapest county median in the survey is Cavan at €150; the dearest is Clare at €600.
Ask what the price actually covers. Per tooth or per arch? Is the consultation included? Is there a written warranty? In our survey of 75 clinics, only two published a warranty on the work — Truly Dental at six years and Boyne Dental at five. Everyone else publishes a price and says nothing about what happens if it chips.

Across our survey of 75 Irish clinics the published range was 125 to 800 euro per tooth — more than a six-fold spread. Some of that is materials and the dentist's time. A lot of it is simply what each practice has decided to charge. The same dental group charges 130 euro in Swords and 700 euro in Mayfield, Cork, which tells you the price is not driven by cost alone.
Most sources put it at roughly four to eight years before it needs repair or replacement, depending on your bite, your habits and how it is looked after. Worth noting: in our survey of 75 clinics, only two published a written warranty on the work at all. Ask about that before you book.
Not necessarily. Dublin's median published price is 250 euro per tooth, which is not the cheapest in the country. Cavan has the lowest county median in our survey at 150 euro. Travel time and follow-up appointments matter more than most people account for, so a local clinic at a fair price usually beats a cheaper one three counties away.
No. It depends on your enamel, your bite and your gum health, and none of that can be assessed from a photograph or a price list. A Dental Council registered dentist confirms what is actually possible at consultation. Anyone quoting you a firm treatment plan before examining you is guessing.
